How to install Gradle in Ubuntu 18.04

Step 1: Update the System

aathith@workstation:~$ sudo apt-get update
aathith@workstation:~$ sudo apt-get -y upgrade

Step 2: Install JDK

Step 3: Download Gradle

aathith@workstation:~$ wget https://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-5.2.1-bin.zip

Step 4: Install Gradle

aathith@workstation:~$ sudo mkdir /opt/gradle
aathith@workstation:~$ sudo unzip -d /opt/gradle gradle-5.2.1-bin.zip

Step 5: Set GRADLE_HOME & PATH

aathith@workstation:~$ sudo nano /etc/profile.d/gradle.sh
> export GRADLE_HOME=/opt/gradle/gradle-5.2.1
> export PATH=${GRADLE_HOME}/bin:${PATH}
aathith@workstation:~$ sudo chmod +x /etc/profile.d/gradle.sh
aathithh@workstation:~$ source /etc/profile.d/gradle.sh

Step 6: Check Gradle Version

aathith@workstation:~$ gradle -v

Gradle 5.2.1
------------------------------------------------------------
